Why Meesho image guidelines matter
Clear product photos help buyers decide faster and help your catalog look professional. For Indian Meesho sellers, following simple image guidelines also makes uploads smoother in Supplier Panel.
Meesho’s official requirements can change by category or over time. Treat this guide as a practical seller checklist based on common listing needs — then confirm the latest rules in your Supplier Panel before you publish.
Recommended image size: 1080×1440 (3:4)
A widely used Meesho-ready size is 1080 pixels wide by 1440 pixels tall. That is a 3:4 portrait frame — taller than it is wide — which suits catalog listings for apparel, home, and many other categories.
ImageReady exports this size by default. If Meesho shows a different requirement for your category, follow Supplier Panel first and use Advanced Editor for a custom size.
- Width: 1080 px
- Height: 1440 px
- Aspect ratio: 3:4 portrait
- Orientation: upright (not landscape)
File format and quality
JPEG is the safest upload format for most Meesho listings. It balances clarity and file size. PNG or WEBP can work as source photos, but export a JPEG for Supplier Panel when possible.
Keep quality high enough that fabric texture, labels, and edges stay clear. Adaptive quality around 80–90% usually works well. Extremely heavy files slow uploads; extremely compressed files look soft.
- Prefer JPEG for final listing uploads
- Aim for sharp, clean detail — not blurry thumbnails
- Remove EXIF clutter when exporting (canvas export handles this)
Background and framing
Use a clean white or light background so the product stands out. Center the product with even margins. Avoid huge empty space that makes a small item look oversized — and avoid cropping so tight that important parts are cut off.
Do not stretch the product to fill the frame. Stretching distorts length and width, which can confuse buyers and size perception.
- White / clean studio-style background
- Product centered in the frame
- Balanced margins — not sparse, not cramped
- No stretch or skew
What good Meesho product photos show
Your main image should make the product obvious at a glance. Secondary images (if you use them) can show details, scale, or packaging — but the hero shot must stay catalog-ready.
- Full product visible (or the key selling view)
- True colors as close as your camera allows
- No heavy watermarks covering the product
- No busy props that hide the item
- Readable text on labels only when it helps the buyer
Common mistakes to avoid
These issues cause reject-style friction, weak listings, or size confusion:
- Landscape phone photos uploaded without reframing to 3:4
- Blurry or dark phone shots
- Huge white margins with a tiny product in the middle
- Stretched images that look unnatural
- Screenshots with UI chrome, status bars, or other products
- Text-heavy collages instead of a clean product shot
Quick prep workflow
Use this short flow every time you add a new SKU:
- Shoot or select a clear product photo
- Crop empty space and center the product
- Export 1080×1440 (3:4) JPEG
- Upload in Meesho Supplier Panel
- Preview the listing and check shipping / details live in Meesho
